First off..Noob question... How do you embed (not link) an excel spread sheet into my sheet metal template. The excel file is simple, 2 rows listing the A1=gauge and B1= decimal equivalent.
What I want to do with this is to get the gauge to show up in the iProperties description along with length and width of part. The thing is I need colum A to show up in the iProperties (12GA) but colum B to be used for the sheet metal default thicness.
I keep getting this errorwhen I run my code.....
Error in rule: Gauge, in document: Part1
GoExcel: 3rd Party worksheet not found: "3rd Party:Embedding 1", Sheet: "Sheet1"
Code so far..
i = GoExcel.FindRow("3rd Party:Embedding 1", "Sheet1", "Gauge", "<=", iProperties.Value("Custom", "Gauge")) MultiValue.List("Thickness") = GoExcel.CellValues("3rd Party:Embedding 1", "Sheet1", "B2", "B35")
So I need help with both the embedding and code.

Design Data is the place your styles are saved if you project points to one but you have your applications options set to another this could be why.
Look at pics may help.
I thought that is what you were talking about and yes they are the same. I only have one main project and so all setting are according to it and I only have 1 ver of Inventor installed...2013
OK try this instead of saveas do a save copy as it is differnt But if they are in your styles it should show up. But I also have not load 2013 yet there are to many issues so I will wait till 2014 I hope they work out all the bugs by then. But I will not hold my breath LOL.
I have it loaded at the main office but I have not set up anything with it.
