Dynamic Simulation

I have a simple geneva mechanism assembly and I am trying to animate it but I can't select the dynamic simulation in the environments tab. How do I make it availiable? I am using Autodesk Inventor professional  2012 educational institution version.

Is this your computer or school computer?

If your computer, was the software installed with UAC and anti-virus disabled?

Did Dynamic Simulation ever work on this machine?

Are all Service Packs up-to-date?

You say you can't select Dynamic Simulation - do you see the icon for DS? Is it grayed out?

Can you post a partial screen shot?

Is DS listed in the Add-ins as being Loaded?

It is a school computer. I can see the icon but it is grayed out and it is listed as being loaded in the add-ins.
