Hello all,
I am trying to perfrom a Dynamic Simulation in Inventor Pro 2010 but when I go to the Environments tab it is grayed out, all of the other environments work and yes it loaded in the Add-ins. I have attached a .jpeg of what it looks like

Are you in a part file or an assembly file? The only time dynamic simulation would be active is in an assembly file. Please let us know if that resolves this and answers your questions. Thank you.
I am in an assembly file and it is still grayed out, so that doesn't fix my problem. Do you have any other suggestions?
I was going to assume you were in an assembly file as the dynamic simulation tab shouldn't even be shown in a part file. If you check your tools>add-ins, and the "Simulation: Dynamic Simulation" add-in is loaded the add-in potentially wasn't installed properly when the product was installed.
You need to be logged in as a local administrator with all antivirus/antispyware and User Account Control (UAC if running vista or W7) disabled (UAC in lowest slider setting for W7) to install and/or use the following batch utility to reinstall the add-in:

Please let us know the results. Thank you.
Thank you for that update. Again, is this for all assemblies or one in particular? Please upload a screenshot such that we can see the file you are working on. Design accelerator assemblies, for instance, would also have this grayed out. You had no restrictions as you ran the batch utility? If you log in with a different user account (preferably another administrator), is the functionality still grayed out? Please let us know the answers to all questions. Thank you.
I am finding that this is only for certain assemblies and not all of them, the one that I am working on does not have any design accelerator stuff in it. I had no restrictions when I ran the batch utility. This is happpening on other people's computers as well.
Thank you
I think I found the problem it seems that it works fine on a regular assembly file but does not work on a weldment assembly file. Do you know why that would be.
That makes sense: The Dynamic simulation is not available in a weldment as there can be no mobile groups when joints are added. It's considered a rigid assembly. You could bring this into an upper assembly as a subassembly and have the DS environment available.
