Dimensions blacked out!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what does it mean if the dims are
"blacked out" ....video card issue?

Yes. It's probably a video card issue.

Sounds like you get the same as me Kev. Dims on an IDW sometimes go
invisible. They are still there if you print though. Also, if you close
inventor and come back in they re-appear like magic. I can't dump my ATI
(Always Trashes Inventor) card for a couple of months yet (getting new
system)..... There is a magic setting for the graphics that fixes this, I
did not see this problem at all up until I "tweaked" things up a few months
back. Since then, I have checked all drivers and tried newer ones with no
success. Since it only seems to happen a couple of times a day, I just close
Inventor and restart it.

John,
I have come across the same issue just today. Is this, indeed, a video card issue? You mentioned a "tweek" you tried that worked for a while what would that be? I have a number of drawings created that I would sure like to be able to see while I'm working on them! Any help would be great.

If I could figure out what changed to make it go bad I'd tell
you!
