When detailing (idw) different instances that are very similar to one another, it would be great to be able to change which instance the idw file is looking at without loosing all the dimensions and annotations. Is there a way to do this? I know that the Design Assistant can't. And if you change the original name temporarily, and open the file, and try to point it to the other instance, it won't allow it and gives you the "no substitution" warning.
I have looked in other posts and have found no solutions to this. I am assuming by the lack of responses that there is no way to do this. Can anyone confirm this?
