And in Add-In manager? What you see?

Any more other Inventor release installed in your machine?

The Design Accelerator DLL reside in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\Bin\FDAddIn.dll

What you see in this directory?

If you Log In in with other windows user happens the same?

During Inventor instalation you:

Log onto the PC as the system Administrator?

Disable the Anti-virus?

No, he ask the user to upgrade to other version. Actually Weiloon is my colleague but he just left the company.

My customer also still having the same problems, there is no solution for this yet.

Look at Maria's post from 2/16/2012 up above, with the Add In Manager shown.  Do you see Design Accelerator in this window on your machine or the client's machine?  That question doesn't seem to have been answered above.

I would try a clean uninstall then a fresh install

and see if that fixes it.

Or, maybe at this point and upgrade might be in order.  Smiley Happy

NO,we already check the Add in Manager. for weiloon case n my case, we already try clean uninstallation but still the same.

the last thing he do is, upgrade the version. For my customer the don't upgrade their software, so no matter what, he still need to use 2010 version.

Well this annoying problem persists in Inventor Pro 2013 and 2014; both of which I have on my system.

I checked the add-ins manager for both versions, and both tell me that the Design Accelerator is loaded and is automatic on startup.  The FDAddin.dll file exists for both versions in their respective folders.

Dear All,

The tab of "Design" will be visible while creating the "Assembly" and not in "Part". So create a new Assembly if you need to add gears and other stuffs.

Thanks Faraz; I did discover that as I learn the software.

Yes, we did it in Assembly, Wei Loon settel it by uninstall that version and install new version. For my case, the user still use that version.

In my case it was more OE (Operator Error) than anything else.
