Deriving Parts

Is there a way to relink a derived file to a new base file? In my case my base file had to be completely redrawn due to some erros, but I had all kinds of worked developed off of my dervied file.

The error i get bascially says, "file not the same, file is not usable."

Probably worth adding (or reiterating if you've read the blog) that the derived part MUST be a copy of the original derived part.  It will not work if the new derived part is just created from scratch.  So if you are having to redraw the original part, copy it first, then delete all the features and redraw it.  I think the reason is given in the blog.
