Hello
I am trying to locate the image over the glass surface.
But once picture is located over the glass the Decal command makes my picture transparent.
Is there any way to make it not transparent?
So far it works only with not transparent substrate.

Offset a plane off the glass put picture on plane.. You just offset it like .020 from the face.. anything that touches the surface of the glass will do that..
when I used the decal command I would always make it be its own part. I would just sketch a single line and extrude it as a surface.. Then apply the image to that surface.. Then I would have a part that I would then drop into my assembly.
Yes it works nice as visible from both sides photo inserted to assembly.
But Decal command make the same transparent trick.
I would be happy with that but without Decal I will not see those photos on the IDW.
The second problem I can trim my picture by Deacal, othrewise I should do it in other program
and it is also make a problem because I have a ruler in pictures to make a real scale.
I trim this ruler and serial # by Decal.
I have about 50 exhibits I intent to put in the showcase design I did

Hmmm
Seems like it does not work.
Inventor did not care the sketch plane is touching the glass or not while using the Decal.
Once Decal is triggered the picture is getting transparent since I can place it only at surface
but not on the offset plane.

right click on the surface feature in the model browser and uncheck "translucent"
