Continual random crashes

Sorry I was unable to configure a transfer from Factory Design Suite Group. This is more appropriate here.

Help?

Approx August, Inventor 2013 started to randomly crash.

Until then it was working fine.

Service packs & several re-installs have not cured it.

I cannot replicate the process.

I am lucky if I get 20 minutes of operation.

One day it actually ran all day. The next it crashed maybe 20 times.

Several projects have only needed 2D work which works fine but I have run out of time to postpone the Inventor projects.

Is anyone else having similar mysteries?

No.

Don't know where to start as we don't have a single clue as to your operating system and system spec's, so all we can post is the generic basic help.

1.) Does your hardware meet the minimum requirements as in the Autodesk Hardware requirements?

2.) Did you install the software with a minimum of Power-User (preferable Administrator) rights?

3.) If Vista/Win7, did you have the UAC slider set to it's lowest level?

4.) Did you disable your Anti-Virus software (assuming you have A-V installed)?

5.) You have installed all applicable hot-fixes for your O/S as well as for your software, includes graphics card drivers?

6.) Are your files stored locally or on a network?

7.) You didn't get a virus or malware on your system around the August date?

8.) Check your system for any changes or installed software or updates.

Thanks Blair I wasn't sure which info to actually send, so now I will step through each of those steps and return with a summary (as soon as I have time). Thanks again

Results are in.

Due to time constraints I had my IT department do a complete purge of the hard drive.

Now that I have cleaned it all I am now up & running again.

thanks for anyone that may have considered my challenge.

Cheers
