Close. There is actually an installer on the installation media that
installs the standard libraries (InventorStandardContent and Parker)
into a pre-installed DM Server. This is available on the main
installation page, but I don't recall the precise wording right now.
Something like "install content center libraries", or some such thing.
That way you don't need to use Library Manager to import those libraries
onto the DM side. You'd only need to do that for any libraries that you
may have published to yourself, if any.
When using Library Manager, it's important to use the proper one. Since
when you have Inventor and DM Server installed, you essentially have 2
library server environments, each with its own Library Manager, you have
to pick the right one. You do that by navigating to the proper Windows
Program Group -- either Inventor or Data Management Server.
Finally, if you do actually have to import libraries from one
environment to the other, you need to make sure that the files being
moved are not in use by the MSDE process. You do this via the Services
snap-in -- for example, if you wanted to do what you describe below, you
would stop the Inventor MSDE instance, which is the service called
MSSQL$INVENTORCONTENT.
Hope this helps,
Jeff
