Computer lock up during install of IV6 - can't finish install

We had the system (W2k) lockup while installing one of our seats of IV6.
The majority, if not all, of the files seemed to have been loaded, the
Serial
Number and CD Key were entered, but there is no program icons or
uninstall feature to be found.
There are some IV6 entries in the registry.

If we try to run Inventor.exe from Explorer we get a dialog box saying that
Inventor needs to register with the OS. The Authorization Wizard opens,
and we enter the proper authorization code.

After doing this we get an error message saying there is a Registration
Error.
The Serial Number is uninitialized.

If we put the CD back in and try and re-run the install program we get the
following error message in a dialog box with the Header MSI4
License Dialog
File does not exist: \eula\AdskLicense.ini

When we hit the OK button a second message pops up saying there was a fatal
error in the install and it has been terminated.

I assume there is something in the registry that needs cleaned up but I hate
to poke around without some guidance.
Any ideas??????

Thanks,
Bill

Did you disable antivirus-scanning during install?
I dont know if this causes these problems, but its worth a shot.

Try uninstalling IV, make sure you have the latest windows SP, disable antivirus and install again.

Bill,

Copy the EULA folder from the CD to the root c drive and give it another
try.

Jason,
That took care of the problem. Thank you very much!
Jorgen: there was no anti-virus running, and we are running the latest
SP.
