Compress a spring

Hello all,

I was wondering if it is in any way possible to use an assembly constraint (transition maybe?) to compress a spring made in the design accelerator? I have a moving part that drives a couple other units, one of them is a spring assembly, which in turn moves another part. I have everything moving the way I want it, but would love to see the springs compress (if possible) when the the pistons push on them... would just add more realism to the end drawn product.

tks!

There are several ways to do this.

1. Adaptive parts

2. Animate Parameter in Inventor Studio

3. Spring force in Dynamic Simulation

A search here should turn up examples of all three methods (probably some examples on Youtube as well.
