I am attempting to design a ring. I have created a flat version of it and like the design. The design consists of intertwined coils cut in half to create a flat bottom. I am going to have the design printed, molded, cast in wax, and then use lost wax to finish the process. There is 2 ways I can do this, one will be easier than the other. The first way is to have the flat version printed, cast, and created and then to wrap it and fuse it together. The easier way is to have the already ring shaped design printed, cast, and created.
To do the second version I need to make a coil the goes in a circle and connects to itself, or I need to take the flat and wrap it around in a circle. I don't know if either of these are possible but if they are help would be greatly appreciated. I may be able to put the flat version on this post tomorrow, but I do not have access to it right now.

Post the file here when you can. Similar geometry has been posted here many many times in the past.
Alright sorry this took so long. I talked to someone today and I thought I had it but Inventor decided it only wanted to do half the job.... I made the weave with coils and then tried to use bend part to make the ends come around and connect... well inventor decided I'm only allowed to do one side, if I try to do both it doesn't work and if I try only 1 it won't let me do the other...
I am not familiar with editing image files in Inventor - can you attach an Inventor *.ipt file?
Here is a .ipt file, it is the same as the picture you see above.
I would not use Bend Part.
I would use Equation Curve
or
technique similar to this

I have the formula at my work computer (a search here on Equation Curves) might turn it up.
I recommend you start here for learning Inventor.

Hi brick.wall46,
In addition to the previous replied you can find an example model that might be useful at this link:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis
