Change Base View

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to change the model my base views were linked to.

If I wanted to link the base view to a different model, would this be possible.

When I double click on the base view it shows the file path for the model that is currently chosen; however, it is all grey and I am unable to edit it or choose another file path.

Does anyone know how to change this?

Is this even possible?

Is it because I have annotated the drawing view that I am unable to change the model path?

Please let me know (if you do).

Thanks,

Vijai Christopher Sookrah

Sure simply go to the MANAGE tab and select REPLACE MODEL REFERENCE.base view.JPG

Hi  vsookrah,

Keep in mind that the tool that mpatchus refers to was introduced in Inventor 2011 (or Inventor 2010 if you loaded the subscription tools). I thought I'd mention that in case you're using an early version or in case someone else who is using an older version finds this post and is wondering why they don't have that tool.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis
