Are you using the center mark tool? The icon that looks like a snowflake
works for centerlines, and the bisector icon in the same dropdown works well
for cylindrical parts. Piece of cake once you find the icons....

gary, i'm not talking about regular centerlines. looking for the abbreviation that people use on drawings sometimes, that is specifically a "CL". and the "L" is kinda slanted and going thru the "C". know what i mean? -Joe

to make the CL

While I do as Sean does you also have the option of placing a CL within a text dialog box. Start a text dialog box and then click the down arrow next to the degree symbol (next to the underline button) and you will find a CL symbol you can use.

Create text.  In the text window, to the right
of the "B I U" is a dropdown symbol box.  Usually, a period is
visible, but if you click on the arrow, a full symbol box will open up with the
CL symbol in the mix.  I usually insert it at 0.240, otherwise it's too
small.  Of course, you can create your own symbol and insert it if you'd
like more control over the appearance.
