Can I turn off "show tangent edges" for specific items in an .idw?

I want to be able to turn off the "show tangent edges" option in a drawing I'm creating.  The problem is that it looks fine for some items and bad for others.  Is this an all or nothing command?

I think it is all or nothing, but you can turn off visibility by selecting, window selecting or crossing window selecting the ones you don't want and right click (I often turn off the Visable line layer first to make selection easier).

The setting is view dependent ad JD stated but you can always select each line that is offending and turn it's visibility off.
