Yes

My intent (not clearly or at all stated) was to solicit others to add to the
list after confirming remaining bugs so we all don't have to run through our
lists.

Anyone tried reordering parts in an assembly yet. IV7 will not allow reording of parts in all assemblies mirgrated from IV5.3

No assemblies can be re-order in IV 6 or IV
7.  This was taken out to accomadate Assembly Features.  If you do a
search you will see quite a few discussions on this.  A work around is to
m
ake a dummy assembly and place your working assembly in as the first and
ground.  Now place your components into the dummy assembly. Don't
constrain.  Now Drag and Drop them into your working assembly at the point
in the browser that you want (they won't end up at the bottom of the
list).  Now edit your working assembly and constrain.

This has been discussed many times. The ability to reorder in the browser had to be
removed when they added Assembly features ( weldments) They are working on trying to get
it put back in, but it isn't something that can be added in a SP. It didn't work in R6
either.

This is not a bug.  The inability to re-order
is as designed.

I was deeply entrenched in a large R&D project for almost a year. I skipped over IV6 and mirgrated everything from 5.3 to 7. Seems I missed alot of changes. Thank you all for your patience.

This constraint works for me. Will post part when finished, using equal
constraint to make circle and arc same radius.

Hal

I posted a example of the equal constraint problem under yours. Try to make the top and
bottom construction lines equal.

Verrrry strrrrrrange .... it must be an order of operation thing. I
added two similar line examples above and below yours and was able to
use equal constraints on the construction lines. You can grab the end
of the normal line and drag it or dimension it and the construction
lines equalize. It is posted under yours.

I tried deleting various constraints and the dim on yours and could
never add equal constraints. I also thought it might be how you used
the line command to create the lines, but that had no affect either. I
did try it on another file and was able to create some line segments
that would constrain and some that wouldn't.

I think it is the order of things. If you do the equal before the dim then
it usually works. Delete my line, and remove the equal on one of your
lines. Then drag it over so the end point becomes coincident with the
middle, Add a dim, and then try to add the equal back. Won't go. Then
delete the dim and try to add it, and it still won't go. This has been this
way since the beta. I presume it is something dCubed has to fix???

this one is particularly frustrating me. Seams simple enough to correct. If you add all constraints B4 adding dimensions it seams to work fine however. Seek perfection 😃

Not sure if intended but keeping the same order keeps the BOM always in the same order. At least I think it does. I do very little drafting but ocassionally (*&^*) off the dratfing guys if I reordered my assembly in IV5.3, or added an additional part it messing up the numbering of detailed views on sheets not including the assembly, meaning ipt details only. Is this confusing. Sorry =/

Kind of. As I recall:

If you delete the parts list and create a new one, it follows the
current order of the browser, so re-ordering could cause grief you describe.

If you place a new parts list, then delete the old, the new one retains
the bubble numbers and order of the old parts list.
