I am looking for help with Boat Hull design using Inventor.
I have lofted several Hull forms and I am comfortable with that process.
What I am trying to do is recreate this process for determining draft and free board calculations I found for PTC Pro Desktop.
http://www.ptc.com/for/education/schools/brotherhood/boat.pdf
In the process they use a tool called a solver where you can control the volume of the shape while allowing one dimension to change. Like making a soda bottle taller to allow more/less fluid oz. The tutorial then describes how to control the inference volume of two solids by changing the offest hieght between two planes.
Has anyone seen anything like this or is this process even possible with Inventor?
Thank you for your time and consideration
