Bending a Part

I want to bend the protractor (ruler) around the cylindrical part. Can I do this? Does the protractor (ruler) have to be converted to a sheet metal part before I can use the BEND tool? See attachment.

You can apply BEND to the ruler part. It'sjust easier to do as a SheetMetal part using the Contour Flange tool.

Hi rcobbjr,

Edit your ruler part and create a sketch at the middle of the part to define the bend, then use the Bend Part tool to specify a radius. Attached is a quick example part you can look at.

I hope this helps.
