BOM Column Properties Resetting Themselves...Why?

We just loaded 2010 and customized the BOM column properites to our companies requirements. However, each time we open and go to export the BOM, these properties reset themselve to the default ones. It never was like this with the 2009 version. Is there a setting or "save" button that can be checked to save these without setting them up each time?

Thanks,

Where did you do the customization? In the template or in the Styles
library?

In 2009, we didnt have to set it up for each drawing, it was more of a global...one and done type setting. It must have gotten changed for the new version...this sucks.

I just recently moved up to 2010. I too agree that this sucks! In previous versions, the columns you chose would just stick and not have to be changed in a template file. Are you sure this is how it is supposed to work now? So all previously created assemblies will need to be edited? That seems very unusual! Could anybody else shed some light on this please as this is very frustrating?

How do others deal with this? I have been constantly changing the columns which is stupid.

Thanks,

Rob

I see from reading other threads, that the new way of doing things is exporting and importing xml files. I have to do this to every piece of legacy data now?
