despite searching this and other sites relating to the topic i have seen the mention and apparent posting of the code several times however for whatever reason it never seems to be available for view or download.

it is part of another utility though here: http://ipc.barok.dk/files/ReadMe.pdf and http://ipc.barok.dk/

i have written the code for inventor 2010 to allow inspection of the scale of the first view that the user has generated, and the value is then saved into the custom properties of the inventor document under the Name of "Scale".

to finish the process, you make your title-block entry look at that specific custom property, i will post the code tomorrow for you to download and save into the API module that lives inside the inventor idw document. that way if you leave the code in the document and save the document as a template, it will always be available whenever you use that template in future.

if you need assistance just post the idw file and i will put it in for you and give it back. if the title block is something you do not wish to post on a publc forum just email it to me.

Seriously how has this been overlooked by Autodesk.... Not to mention 2 whole new releases later...  The title block, even at default gives me a space for scale but no drawing property windows or even a place to even input a definition....  We have to use some custom code to get something to work that the devs put there in the first place?  Are you kidding me?  With little stuff like this interrupting my workflow, looks like I'll be making a switch very soon.
