Hee's what I'm trying to do:
1] Create an xlsx file as an interface to drive the parameters of the assembly and its subassemblies and parts
2] Create "parent" part models driven by the spreadsheet parameters.
3] Create a "parent" assembly model that contains these parts and is also driven by the spreadsheet parameters.
4] Unlink the xlsx file from the assembly and its children after saving the assembly as a new file.
5] Also save each part as its own file and unlink the xlsx as well.
Items 1 through 3 aren't a problem.
It's item 4 and 5 that are causing headaches.
I don't want to go to each part and subassemly and unlink the xlsx from each model because this is extremely time consuming and not user friendly. I don't mind unlinking the xlsx from the top level assembly, but I'd rather create an ilogic rule and/or an excel macro to unlink this file.
I need some guidance on how to accomplish this.
