Can I take a assembly and make all of the parts 1 and only have 1 Part file
rather than 8 parts?

Derive the assembly into a new part file

Kent....I tried that but it still retians the path (ie...if delete the parts
that made the assembly it will not open). Let me say again what I mean, I
amy have not been clear. I have a assembly with 8 parts in it that I will
never change (Spears Fitting) and rather than having to worry about all of
the individual parts I want them all to in one file. Can this be done or am
I not understanding you and how a derived part works....

You can rmb on the derive, and break the link, but it can't be reversed once you break it.

If you are looking for a file format like MDT where you can have multiple parts all
coexist in one file there is nothing unfortunately.

Note>Suppress Features>Find In WIndow>Properties>How To ......Nothing
