Auto generate part drawing from inventor

Hi,

is there any auto generate command to retrive the part drawing from assembly drawing rather than open part one by one to retrive the drawing?

I don't understand the question really..

Are you talking about batch printing an assemblies drawings (complete packet)?

I am confused by the term "retrieve" in this problem description.

Are you looking for  functionality that will create, that is auto-generate drawings of all parts, subassemblies and assembly drawing like that in Inventor Tooling?  Your thread title would seem to indicate that this is what you are looking for rather the retrieving existing drawings.

Sounds like he wants an "Open All Associated Drawings" button, as in for batch printing.

I believe there are macros floating around that will do this. I suggest a search of this forum for "batch print".

Thats for the mold tooling module. Automatic drawing creation is not available nor possible for regular Inventor parts/assemblies.

I haven't given this a try, so let us know how it turns out.

Start a new Mold.iam

place your assembly as a subassembly.

See if Tooling will create the drawings.

Whenever I try to place an assembly it defaults to the Model and not to the Mold Design. How can I place it in Mold Design. And as a sub-assembly no less?

Hi Everyone. You can use Auto Draw using the link. https://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/INVNTOR/en/Detail/Index?id=appstore.exchange.autodesk.com%3Aautod...

Just follow the instructions and its very easy to use. It will generate all the part drawings in .idw or .dwg as seperate files. Just load the assembly file in the software and click on create. Keep inventor running while doing this.
