Assembly with iLogic rules running slow. Time for an upgrade???

Hi,

I'm a contractor, I've created a really impressive form-driven assembly containing various iLogic rules. However, as i add more rules it is beginning to slow down (increase rule processing time). Should I suggest upgrading to 64-bit and increasing RAM or will that not help?........could be costly with no increase in performance.

Processor: i7-2600

OS: 32-bit

RAM: 4.00GB

Inventor 2012

Thanks,

Lewis

I find when using Inventor for assemblies, I am often using more than 4GB (I have 12Gb available). Try CTRL+ALT+DEL -> Task Manager -> Performance, to see if you are pushing your available memory to it's limits.

If you are, increasing the RAM should improve your perfromace a lot.

Alternatively, could you reduce useage by getting rules only to trigger when needed?
