Assembly constraint help! converting linear X motion to linear Y at a ratio.

Hi Im drawing a hydraulic car lift for a major assignment. The assembly works using pulleys and wire rope. The hydraulic cylinders run along the X direction but this movement translates to Y direction movement of platform at a ratio of 1x  : 2y. Without modeling flexable wire rope is it possible to convert cylinder action along the x axis motion to action along the y axis?  ANY SUGGESTIONS? If not, is it possible to model flexable wire rope or simple cord. I have limited expoeriance using this software and want to keep it simple.
