Assembly Animation into PowerPoint

How do I get an Inventor Assembly Animation to embed into a PowerPoint Presentation where it actually plays when clicked? Dragging the slider works, but the animation won't play.

Is there a better way to do this? Maybe exporting to an AVI or some other video file and then linking that to the presentation?

Can you attach this?

You could record and place an avi.

Or

I am pretty sure (but haven't tried) you can save an *.ipn animation into a *.dwf that you can embed in PowerPoint slide.

The "Rocord AVI" is tricky because I have some unknowns as far as the
computer that the PowerPoint presentation will be played on, and the codecs
of AVI files sometimes create "issues" for playback on different computers.
And I have to be able to ensure then that the AVI gets moved to the same
folder on the presenting computer as the PPT file; it would be nice for the
PPT presentation file to be "stand alone". Been burned by the missing
referenced video one too many times.

The DWF would work also, but again, depends on the computer that will be
sued for the PowerPoint presentation having the ability to read that file
type.

Sounds like the options are pretty much what I had already anticipated. I
will see if I can get an upload of the file I was dealing with for
reference.

THANKS for the input!

You could put a Chronicle into your PowerPoint.
