Appearance/colors looks strange

I need to do a ray-traced rendering of a smoth black anodized surface.

However when using the "Anodized Black" appearance, I get a speckled surface when using raytrace, and the part looks like galvanized steel.

Am I doing something wrong, or are some materials just "wrong"

Are there some who could share a good library collection of appearences for Inv 2014.

Thanks!

Brgds,

Chris

You do know you can modify appearances to fit your needs right?

Just need to either remove that extra pattern or make it smaller/scale it..

IMO most of Autodesks colors are far from realistic in Inventor.. I've never been happy with any of the default colors.. And of course I had all my colors "perfect" in 2012 and then this new appearance stuff came around and I find it MUCH more difficult/confusing that it used to be and just can't get my colors right again.. I just need to sit down and spend some time with it too I guess.
