Animations

I have essentialy a static "display" and our client is wanting an animation of nothing more than zooming in and out and rotation, i.e. a fly through, is this something I can do. I have driven constraints and done avi files, and have exploded assemblies before. Exploding this assembly is not really useful.

Thanks

I've never tried it, but if you tweaked the entire
assembly...moved it and rotated it, and had your viewpoint fixed, it seems like
that would simulate a fly through.

I posted the exact same concern last week sometime...I can't find the thread....but the bottom line was that IV doesn;t provide a way to do what you want....you have to perform very small tweaks and save different camera angles in between

Both Techsmith and Hypersonics have screen capture utility's that would do
what you want along with using your spaceball. 8^)

As Walt mentioned, when you run a tweak select the entire assembly and tweak the entire assy to rotate however many degrees you want. In essence, move the assy around in space instead of moving the camera around in space.

Have you tried the texture generator they

Thanks a bunch for that one. I have really struggled with paying $350 for Camtasia for something I
don't really have a regular use for. Looks like this will work fine...Joe Beauchesne, Boeing Satellite Systems
