After close part (of an assembly) i see the bar of parts in the assembly?

Hi,

sometimes, when i close the part of an assembly, i turn back to my assembly with the bar of parts. I have no possibility to click something in the part-bar. Then i must kill the inventor process and then it works.

Some idea?

ps: I don't know the right title of bar, because i have a german version.

system:
WinXP SP2
AIS11 with SP3a

I've had this problem before. If you can select parts in the graphics window, try to double click on one and edit it. Then simply RMB finish edit and it should be fine.

What g/card drivers do you have?

Do you have the latest configuration file for your g/card, from Adsk

@andrewiv: No, i mean, that I can't select anything in the bar. I will try it when the problem occurs again.

Browser? Is this not the window of inventor, where i can see the parts in the tree. I mean the button-bar for extrusion and so on.

Quadro FX 3500 (PCI-E) with the newest dabase und 91.36 driver. I use OpenGL under AIS11.

An other PC with the same configuration do not have this problem.

Can you do a screen capture and save in MS Paint as jpg file.
On English keyboard you can capture the screen by hitting the Print Scrn key in upper right hand corner of the keyboard and then past into MS Paint. In Paint draw a circle around problem.

It sounds to me like you are trying to do an Assembly level Extrusion with no sketch but between the language difference and no example I'm not sure.

You might also try posting your question in German as there are other German speakers here.
