AUtodesk Ridiculous trademarks IMHO

Wow, I can't believe some of the tradmarked names Autodesk
has listed in Inventor's credits panel:

3December; 3December.com; ActiveShapes; Alias; AutoSnap; AutoTrack; Backburner; Backdraft;
Burn; Buzzsaw; Can You Imagine; Cleaner; Colour Warper; Combustion; Communication Specification;
Content Explorer; Create>what’s>Next> (design/logo); Dancing Baby, The (image);
DesignCenter; Design Doctor; Designer’s Toolkit; DesignKids; DesignProf; Design Server;
DesignStudio; Design Your World; Education by Design; Extending the Design Team;
Field to Field; Filmbox; Freewheel; Heads-up Design; Heidi; Incinerator; Lustre;
Mudbox; Open Reality; Reactor; Render Queue; Showcase; SketchBook; SteeringWheels;
Visual; Visual Construction; Wiretap;

Autodesk Canada Co. in the USA and/or Canada and other countries, unless otherwise noted:
Backburner, Discreet, Fire, Flame, Flint, Frost, Inferno, River (Canada only), Smoke,
Sparks, Stone, and Wire.

Are all these nouns, you listed from the panel, found in the English Dictionary proper nouns or common nouns? Trademarking "Combustion" and even "Heidi" (a person's name's and thereby a proper noun) is getting ludicrous. I know another company that is starting to trademark breeds of sharks (e.g, Mako). Are these companies going to start suing people and their identity for their names or scientific and other engineering establishments for breeds or processes?

Bob, thanks for sharing this on the increasing insanity of trademarking certain names or nouns.

Right up there with auto names. We already have i-parts, i-features. Maybe
they could use i-studio, or add a process key called i-ran where the "Esc"
key doesn't work.

Must be Friday afternoon before a long weekend. Time to leave, my motor bike
is calling me.
