Resellers have tried to get Autodesk to go back to the original contract, to
no avail. Most of us resellers end up providing "free" support to the
schools as a community service.....

Commercial Resellers cannot sell to the educational community.... When we
could, the resellers did a great job in getting Autodesk product into
educational. Today, they are sold to schools by exclusive educational
resellers, who in many parts of the country, are "box movers" offering
little or no followup or support.

Well I finally did it, I sent almost all of our old IV disks through the
shredder and it almost brought a tear to my eye :~( I kept back one each of
IV7 and up just in case but all the others went to the landfill.
I could not bring myself to shred the original "vers 1" Inventor box and
disk...who knows it might be worth some real money on eee baay in a few
years
