A DXF question

I need to make a Rel. 12 DXF from my part files for the laser programming software, but have an annoying

problem when creating my DXF files and I am not able to figure out how to get rid of the annoyance.

When I right click on "Flat Pattern" in my model tree and choose "Save Copy As", I have created an ini file

so make it a Rel. 12, but my part is flipped 180 degrees if it's a square or rectangular part, or some degree

in between if it is a different shape.

How do I create my DXF file so it made as my part appears on my screen?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi sps_cad_guy,

I think this is the setting that JDMather was referring to:

http://inventortrenches.blogspot.com/2011/05/edit-flat-pattern-orientation.html

This should allow you to setup your flat pattern orientation as you prefer it.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

Thank you Curtis, for your help.

Unfortunately, the Gods of IT have deemed blogspot one of those scarey and dangerous places I need protected from, so they have it blocked.

I will look into it when I get home where it's ok if the web site makes my computer explode.

Is the orientation correct when you double click the flat pattern node? Whatever orientation the part appears in on the screen is what it should get exported out to.

I believe this is what JD and Curtis is referring to:
