0" Dim?

Maybe this never worked??? but I have a sketch that had a 0" dim between a projected point
and a sketch line. The projected point got sick, so I am replacing it and I can't make a
0" dim unless I stretch the sketch line away so that the dim starts out as more than 0.
Not a real big deal, other than it is a disruption of workflow.....took me a minute to
figure out what was going on.

PS I know all about constraints 8^) In this case I want a dim.

I have always had problems dimming 0 if the line or point is in place
already. I had to drag the point or line a way.

yep, me too..always been that way,

why not use a constraint? you want to change it later? then which way it
goes is random (just can't win)

Thanks.. I kind of figured that... but since this may be the first 0" dim I have ever used
in Inventor I wasn't sure .8^)

For what it's worth, I was always taught to avoid using zero length
dimensions in parametric modeling, more times then not it will lead to
errors, or some other problem down the line.
