using a sub assembly in a assembly???

im sure this has been asked before, well atleast i hope so.... i have a assembly, well i pulled a seperate assembly into it... i want to make it pretty much explode in there, so i can have each part in my parts list have its own name instead of it just calling the sub assembly as 1 item....  how do i go about it?  i am using inventor 2010

thanks

In the Bill of Materials for your main assembly, set the BOM Structure for your subassembly to "Phantom."  This will cause the drawing parts list to ignore the subassembly and call out the parts individually.

With your main assembly open, click Bill of Materials.  One of the columns will be BOM Structure.  Clicking in it will give you a drop-down list of options - pick Phantom from that list.
