I am trying to generate an internal involute spline in a blind bore and Inventor ignores the length of the spline requested. The bore has a counterbore larger than the major diameter of the spline at the bottom of the hole.
The length of the surface for the spline is 2 3/4", the preview shows a spline about 10" long, regardless of what I enter the length at and when I hit create, it gives an error message "this groove cannot be created".
Ideas?
