spaceball, how to program iso view?

Just got a Spaceball 2003, very cool.

How do I program "isometric view" to a button - it does not show up in the
list of available commands.

You need to right-click on User Macros and select Add User Macro. Here you
will enter the key combinations that you would use to invoke the command in
Inventor. For Isometric View it would be Alt-V-I. Just type in a name for
your macro (Isometric View) then click in the User Macro window and press
Alt, then press V, next press I, and finally click the Save button. Then
drag your Isometric View macro and drop it on the Spaceball button you want
to associate it to.
