sheet metal

is autodesk going to allow changes to sheet metal drawings while in the flat pattern?

That would be the same as adding a sketch to the
sheet metal part, projecting the flat in the sketch, making your modification
sketch, and then use the Cute Though Bend option in the cut tool. Or are you
looking for different?

currently inventor does not allow you to make changes/additions to a sheet metal drawing while it is in the flat pattern. will this be changed in the future?

Apparently you feel your post's intent, as a
question, is more then sufficient. I would have to disagree.

You will never get that kind of answer from anyone that knows the answer. Autodesk does
not release information about what is being worked on.

Also Matt's answer gives you pretty close to the same functionality as what you asked.

I understand what he is asking and if you think about it why have another window pop-up when you can't do anything in it, you got to admit, it would be nice, the other feature your writing about is some what combersome but yes it works. No, you will not get a responce for Autodesk.
