sheet metal part

Hi

 

How do i make the attach file as a sheet metal part?It takes a lot of  moves to make as solid part..can it be made in sheet metal?

You should be able to make this as a sheetmetal part. Start in the sheetmetal environment and instead of using extrude as your first feature, use the face tool. Instead of extrusion 2, use a cut. You could also use the face tool with the bend option to replace extrusions 5 & 6. Give it a try. When you get stuck, post what you've accomplished here and someone will help you out.

I got to this point to sheet metal part.What steps should i now take to complete the rest of the part?

I am not sure how to create the sections which are bent

Through your technique i made the next step but need help adding the last part to this.

 

CAn this when finished be flattened

Yup, looks good except sketch8 needs to be fully constrained.
