scaling

Hello everyone, In my journey on learning inventor I ran into this problem. Can I set a drawing scale? If I want to print 1:2,

2:1 and so on? If so how?

thanks

Can you be more specific?  Are you talking about printing or just your on screen drawing view scales?

The first view placed can have the scale set in the dialog window and that sets the drawing scale.

You should see something like this in your print manager when you go to print.

SCALE.JPG  The custom selection will allow you to do the 2/1 and so on.

Select the Print button, then select the "Custom" radio button. This will then allow you to set your scale factor in the dialogue box.

Looks like you are on XP, we haven't been on XP for at least four years. This is all I remeber for the last number of versions when hitting the print button from the top of the main header bar.

Hi drafter1411,

Try it from a drawing as blair shows, and you'll see the options you're looking for. I'm not sure how you'd print to scale from a part model as you show, since the scale/zoom factor is rather unknown.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

If you are running XP, then there most definately could be an incompatibility issue.

You might want to look into upgrading because MS is stopping their support of XP in 2014
