save as IDW?

I have landed a contract with a few similar parts IE turned parts but with different lengths etc.

If I make an IPT part of one, and make a drawing IDW, how can I use the save as command to save the part and the drawing to reflect the following new sizes without having to make a new drawing IDW each time?
In MDT 6 this was possible because the paper space was directly linked to the solid model
Any help before I get to deep in would be appreciated, as you will, understand its all about saving time redrawing, especially toleranced dimensions
thanks chris ward

When the part/idw is finished, copy them / give them new filenames in Design assistant.
Edit the copy.

3 Methods:

1. Use Design Assistant

2. Use Pack & Go

3. Copy the model & IDW to a new location outside the project path. Rename the model file. Open IDW and it will ask you for the file location so direct it to the new model.
