rotating model using mouse button

Using Solid works I was able to rotate a model by holding down the mouse wheel button. In inventor it pans the image. I have to use the other hand to press F4 to rotate the model. Is there a way to change the pan command of the central wheel button to a rotate command?

Personally, I just miss the rotate command being on the RMB menu like it was
in Mechanical Desktop.

Matter of preference.... I programmed the F4 key in MDT to llaunch the
Rotate command. Being an old MDT advocate, I think the command structure in
IV is much better. The more you use IV, the more you will like it.

You can map F4 to one of your mouse buttons. In the MS Intellipoint driver,
there is a Keystroke option.

I map button 4 on my mouse for F4. One thing that I don't like is that the space bar option for the "glass cube" doesn't work unless you click on the rotate icon. Is there a direct shortcut for the glass cube functionality?

The intelli point thing has done the trick thanks. I just have to make sure I press the LMB and the wheel button down at the same time with the same finger.

to add to the glass cube shortcut, i would like to program my spacepilot to rotate the view left or right by 90 deg, as you do by clicking an edge of the galss cube, but cant see how to invoke this command
