resolve, create check-in, semi-isolated project

Is there a way to create check-in reservations for entire trees of parts? I work in my own workpace, create dozens of parts, then have to create check-ins on by one. very tedious, and sometimes hard to find all of the nested parts.

Better yet, can I check entire in sub-directories without having the assembly open in inventor?

Consider turning the Multi-User option Off in your
Project.

You mean turn multi-user off, copy everything manually, then turn multi-user back on?

I think he means why use semi-isolated if you are working by yourself.

You are able to check the entire assembly in by doing checkin tree as long as everything is resolved.

Save the parts in the workgroup directories as you create them, rather than saving them in your workspace and then resolving the checkouts. All of the parts will be automatically checked out to you as you save them.

That's how I do it and it works great.

"Save the parts in the workgroup directories as you create them..."

That is what I was looking for. The requirement to create checkout for new parts through the resolve dialog was irritating.

Thank you.
