"No visible, unadaptive sketches" message

My .ipt file has a shared sketch that is visible and not adpitive.

But When I attempt to make a second extrution from the sketch, a message says, "No visible, unadaptive sketches".

I could create another sketch, but I want to learn how Inventor is woking becuase I have had this error before.

The file is attached (I am trying to extrude from the "binder" sketch).

Thank you.

I just tried it and it worked for me.  Although in the part you attached, the binder sketch was invisible, so I had to make it visible first.  But I don't know why it won't work for you...

Turn visibility on first?

I see both "tube" and "binder" are invisible - the message says "No visible, unadaptive sketches"...

Now I understand; "visible" doesn't just mean I can see the sketch, it means "Visibility" has a check mark.

Thank you for getting me through this newbie question.
