Hi,
Inventor does not support multi body solids in sheet metal environment.
If you Convert to standard part you will be able to build solids and move them but once you go back again to Sheet metal you will get a message the multiple solids are not supported.

Would any of press tool desinger be able to give me a sample strip layout.

We use Radan 2013 for our layout work which handles all punch, tooling, profile cutting and layout. We are able to drop in our 3D Inventor file and produce our 2D flat layout which is then processed for all tooling.

Since all machines are different my files would not work for you (plus they are proprietors)
