I assueme it is looking for the files stored on the 30 day trial on the desktop but I can seem to find them to try and move them over.

Hi Dale,

It was possibly looking for the content center files from the Content Center location here: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Inventor\Content Center Files\R201*\. You may check the default Content Center locaiton from Applicaiton Options > File tab > Default Content Center files panel or the personal location from the Project page > Folder Options > Content Center Files if it has been customized. Hope you can resotre the content center files from the above location successfully.

Regards,

Amanda

Amamda. thanks,  I spent about 1 hour on it and gave up.  only had a few screws in the assembly and were really needed so I just deleted them.

However i do wonder when get around to loading inventor 13 or even the next version what will happen to them.

I assume there is some process to migrate all old files to the next version without.

In order to avoid the Resolve Link problem for the Content Center Standard parts, opening your assemblies after having upgraded your Inventor version, I hope you can find useful the blog post below.
