iassy problem - can AD have a look?

We're having a problem with an iAssembly and hope someone at Autodesk can
take a look at it for us. Zipped up it is 33meg so may need ftp access.

It is an assembly with 16 variants and we are having problems with Inventor
crashing while cycling through them.

I am able to get all 16 to work if I click through the table and wait a good
5-10 seconds after each has loaded, processed and "rotatable" but if I click
on the next version straight after the previous has processed it will only
manage a couple before crashing - almost as if there's a problem either
loading the new content or managing the memory so quickly after the previous
batch. Due to it not being able to process each version straight after the
next we are having great problems generating idw's (or anything which
processes the table of data in one go).

It was originally created in Inventor 2009 Routed Systems and can't recall
it crashing once, but now have problems on both 2010 Suite & Routed Systems
after it has been migrated.

We're all on similar pc's (HP xw4400 Workstations, 6700 Core 2, 4 gb ram &
Quadro FX1500) on 32 bit XP SP2 and it crashes with and without the /3gb
switch.

We have submitted a number of error-reports which have just come back asking
to install 2010 sp1, which is already on the systems.

Is there any chance AD can have a look and get back to us as to how to work
with it?

Regards, Sam

Hi! Have you contacted Autodesk Product Support? If so, please work with support to get the issue resolved. If not, please send an email to me and I will set up an account on a secure server for you to upload the file.
Thanks!

Did you ever get this resolved.  We are having the same issue at our company.  I was told through our support that Inventor 2011 fixes the issue.

AD looked at our data and our problem was being caused by a decal in one of the parts - by changing it to an extrusion of the artwork it suddenly worked fine.  Strange, i know...

whether this suggests a problem with decals and iassemblies or we had a 1 off case, dunno...  Got any bmps or decals in the assembly?

(due to it working as an extrusion I have to admit I don't know if it works as a decal in 2011 - can't really justify the time to re-model this old assembly just to test at the moment)
