Well.... I'd acually like to have seperate options for iam's and ipt's.

Other than that, it looks very good.
Give me the seperate options, and I'll ditch my own homegrown program 😉

I knew someone was going to ask for that....

Do you need separate list files for each file type as well?

ehemmm....... Yes, that would be preferable.
But not vital.

I'd suggest getting a large check from Adesk and have them make this a
standard option in Iv (among other add-ins that's been written
out-of-Adesk).

Really cool, Sean!

Will the property readouts update automatically at
file saving?

And the language switch is still there! (I hope that's
no fake...)

Not sure what this means...can you explain?

Actually.....the language portion last time took almost as long to do as the
rest of the program. I'm still not sure if I want to tackle that again. I
appreciated everyone's help but it was a royal PITA....

Maybe I don't understand what you mean with:
> and will contain a checkbox to Replace Part# with
> Filename and mass and volume property readouts
I understood, that you read the mass (or volume)
property and write it to the Part# property. I wanted
to know, what would happen, if the part is modified.
Will the new mass (or volume) property go to the
Part# property by itself?

You don't need to mess around with more than one
language. Just write the whole thing in German. *lol*

Sorry. It was the way I worded it.

It should have read:

"The runtime dialogue is not quite done and will contain a checkbox to
Replace Part# with the DisplayName.

It will also contain read-only mass and volume property readouts."

So no info is updated as save time. Only when you access the dialogue.

The native property names will still come in as native language properties.
(e.g. Part Number will be it's equivalent in German). It's the help files
and such that might not get translated. I'm considering a video help file
anyway so it will make more sense to those that don't speak English... or
like to read directions..

Oh, it's my mistake! Forget about the mass
and volume thing. I had to read:

and will contain a checkbox to replace Part# with Filename
and *will contain* mass and volume property readouts

It really wouldn't make any sense to replace the Part# with
the mass property. And there are already tools that do this
with custom properties.

Yes, like that!
I hope its not too much extra coding (but I suspect it is).

It would be nice to be able to specify a different master lists for each
customer.
