how to fold sheet metal along non straight line

Hello guys, I'm modeling a sheet metal piece, pics are attached, its edges are folded in non-straight line, can anyone tell me how can I build such kind of fold?

Thanks a lot 🙂

Not possible in a traditional brake press. Looks to die formed. To use sheet metal, you need to weld in some of those pieces.

Hi Alex202us,

Well The part looks like it originally was Sand Casted (it has a Bumpy Surface, like a cast part).

It Wouldn't be Exactly the same but you could use flanges (it would need to have relief cuts in the side material to properly bend).

Sketch "Top" Face and then use the flange command on the edges.

(DLMSDM1 beat me to the post)

Hi! You could use part modeling features (extrude or sweep) to create the geometry. But, the resultant part cannot be flattened to generate flat pattern in Inventor right now.

Thanks!

Thanks, since it's die formed, I don't need to bother with sheet metal design.
