half coupling question

What is the half coupling in the content centre? I expect a half coupling to be a socket weld to a female thread. There is no thread shown on the part and the diameter doesn't appear to make sense.

You'll have to be more specific.  I believe there are many half couplings in the Content Center.  What spec is this under, and give the full name of the Family so we can find it and have a look.  Thanks.

In general, a half-coupling is exactly that - half of a full coupling.  The back end isn't socketweld (male or female) or threaded, its the same as you would find at the root of an o-let.

ASME B16.11 Half coupling
Should look like this
https://www.google.co.uk/images?q=half+coupling
Socket weld to female thread.
ISO half couplings seem to be different, just a shorter female threaded pipe compared with an ISO coupling.
